ARTS COnnect international

About ACI  -  Arts Connect International, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate & connect leaders in the arts field committed to cultural inclusion and social equity on a global scale. ACI runs a year-long international Artist-in-Residence program for emerging leaders. Artists identify the art form, international location, and inclusion foci for the residency. The program educates, informs, and grows the artistic and personal skills of participating artists while stimulating and enhancing the arts communities in which they work and live. Artists then leverage work produced during the residency to open and deepen conversations surrounding cross-cultural inclusion in their home community.

I joined ACI as a part of their Rising Artist program during the 2015-16 year. They have remained part of my family ever since. It's been an incredibly transformative force in my life, humbling and empowering. If you are interested in matters of social justice, social entrepreneurship, arts education and inclusion, I urge that you take some time to learn about the organization and support their beautiful work. History  -  ACI was incorporated in Massachusetts in 2013 by the ACI Leadership Team. ACI was founded on the inherent belief that health care and education are, and should be, upheld as human rights. Art serves as a conduit for cross-cultural understanding, deep and meaningful learning, creative expression, and community building; ACI therefore advocates that art, and access to art, are essential in defining equity and eradicating inequities in health care and educational systems worldwide. Together, we are building the global inclusion movement. (source: ACI website)
